A youth wing is a subsidiary, autonomous, or independently allied front of a larger organization that is formed in order to rally support for that organization from members and potential members of a younger age, as well as to focus on subjects and issues more widely relevant among that organization’s youth. Youth wings may also be discussion forums for younger members and supporters of the organization to debate policy and ideology.

A women’s wing is an organisation affiliated with a political party that consists of that party’s female membership or acts to promote women within that party. The organisations take different roles and types, with some giving women the option of joining and others automatically enrolling all female party members in their women’s wings. The intention is to encourage women to join formal party structures, but to allow them to do so in a more comfortable environment, without men.
